Hi dave. You must have something assembled wrong in the box itself, because the flat on the selector bobbin should run horizontal and not vertically as your picture shows. I have a few of these arms and bits of boxes and they all look like the one you have, it is the selector bobbin that is wrongly ...

Hi Tony. I fit the spring to the kickstart and push the hook away from the kickstart and hold it in the case twith the end of a scredriver, then with the kickstarter as far away from the case, but on the spindle, I wind it up until it is tensioned and the push the kickstarter home.
