Re: Arrow sports Clutch Plates

Alan, If I've interpreted your question correctly, yes the nylon primary chain adjuster (part number T69) can be inserted into the primary chaincase cover without the need to remove it again, simply push it into the hole at the front end of the cover and turn it with a screwdriver until you feel the...

Re: arrow timing

Bob, Suggestions, remove the back plate complete and turn it around and refit to engine, change the wires over, see if that helps to achieve setting the points and timing. You shouldnt really need to do the next suggestion but if all else fails take a small round file and elongate the slots a little...

Re: Electronic Ignition

Hi Roy, I was hoping you would have had a few posts about the MME system to read how they've got on fitting it and how it worked out on the road before I took the plunge and ordered one myself, early days yet, perhaps members will add a report when they find the message. I, like many others have bee...

Re: Arrow Engine gaskets

Hi Roy, Its not normally necessary to use Hermatite or similar sealants with the cylinder base gaskets, that said there are always exceptions such as on my Sports Arrow engine that's led a bit of a hard life with numerous strip down and rebuilds as it was used as a Production Racer and is now used f...

Re: ALTERNATIVE ARROW REAR SHOCKS

Try 'Falcon' for shock absorbers. Tel 01929 554545 or http://www.falconshockabsorbers.co.uk they are based in Wareham, Dorset. Approximately 5 years ago club member Roger Lee visited them to see about having some new rear shock absorbers manufactured to fit the Arrow/Leader, as is usually the case I...

Re: Arrow Battery

Further to my previous post, last year, July 2017 I did find for sale on ebay a 6v Tashima make battery 6N11A-4 of the correct size that fits nicely into the Arrow/Leader battery holder bracket that did not have a vent pipe on the side, it had a vent hole in each of the three filler caps on the top ...

Re: Arrow Battery

Presented with the same problem I decided to cut a slot in the battery carrier for the vent pipe to fit into that also allowed you to retain the drain tube. I also wrote a short article on the subject that appeared in the club magazine, Cheval de Fer a few months ago, see attached word document for ...
