Derek, I'm aware of a Leader bearing the registration number ERE78N that was First Registered on 10.9.74. It wasnt a factory made machine though being built up from mainly new old stock parts in the 1970's. A lot of the parts came from The Motorcycle Mart in Walsall who were Ariel Dealers in the day...

Further to previous messages. I have a friend who runs his Leader with a 26mm Mikuni carb fitted and after some trial runs settled on a 140 main jet. Another friend who runs an Arrow fitted with a Mikuni carb settled on using a 150 main jet and 1.5 slide. No doubt these minor changes have been made ...

Hello Bill, Although I dont know where your old Leader 781ADG is these days, a Vehicle Enquiry carried out on the Directgov Website at least shows that it is on the DVLA records, the Leader is licensed with date of liability being 1.4.2013. This would suggest it is being used and is not declared S.O...
