oh, sorry nev, my mistake..i misunderstood u there..
i used epoxy primer on mine, what do u usually use?
epoxy is really tough and waterproof, but is supposed to b colour coated before it hardens... which makes it a bit tricky if u have limited time

so i have to disagree with u nev on putting topcoat on without primer... the car panel lasted for about 7 years before that became visible tho, but it aint visible anywhere else on that panel and the edges of the brackets were the only place that id sanded thru the primer....... but u will end up wi...

thanks guys, after listening to that advice... im going to use both! tectyl for the main part of the frame and fish oil for the 2 lower tubes as these only have a tiny access hole and are airtight apart from that... yes.. blew air into one and heard it come out again from the same hole. so fish oil ...

and i know that fish oil works, because its a by product of fish and ive caught many fish over the years...... not one of them was rusty

im thinking an oil that stays semi viscous would b better than a wax at invading all of the microscopic crevices and insides of tiny paint/corrosion bubbles etc. and a wax would b more likely to bridge these at a microscopic level. also a wax coating would b more likely to migrate south over time gi...

hi all... just throwing this question out there.... ive just spent about 5 weeks watching the 2k paint on my kh frame dry, and my plan now is to fill the frame up with fish oil from a bottle and drain it out so as to completely coat the inside of the frame ( which, when i got it was full of sandblas...

re thread lubricant, someone told me dont use silicon based products on aluminium alloys because its what causes that really deep pitting on gasket surfaces, dont know if this is true or not tho

paul... do u have a bunch of hotos of yr kh/ kha i could look at? there seems to b not too many khas around and not many close up photos of the bits and bobs!
