Re: Oil Leaks - Singles

Volker - mine have never disintegrated, broken up or deteriorated in any way, but they are original Ariel, whatever they are!
(And I don't think I go out of my way to replace them, unless I'm taking a magneto off, which doesn't happen that often - I usually leave then to 'get on with it' :D )

Re: Oil Leaks - Singles

I picked up quite a few original Ariel singles gasket sets back in the 1970s. They've all got a very rigid paper washer that I've always assumed to be (and used as) the one that goes behind the mag sprocket, on the armature shaft. The one I'm just measuring is 1.110" OD , 0.462" ID and 0.0...

Not just at the moment thanks Jørgen - too many other priorities.

Re: NH 350 headlamp /fork shrouds

Well thanks for that, Johnny - nice to know you found a good-priced pair so easily   I've been looking for 'long ears' for a couple of years with no luck, at any price. 'Short ears' I could have had no problem - I'd have thought they'd be much rarer! Ah well, when things get back to n...

Re: First quick ride on the KH

There isn't a lot of choice for return-line filters, we nearly always end up using Norton Commando units which at least makes replacement filters fairly easy. Feked also do them (got mine there) https://www.feked.com/norton-commando-750-850-oil-filter-spin-on-cartridge.html Filter might also be Citr...

Re: Draganfly poor service

Not my experience, stock level is often an issue but I can remember the days before we had people re-manufacturing spare parts. And I've always found the folk there very helpful even when they can't give you the answer that you want (although it has been a couple of months since I last phoned them) SG

Re: it's hot out there

Unfortunately it won't do another 75 years without being replaced with (or converted to) electric. Maybe only 20 years - and well before that the price of petrol will have been pushed way, way high to help convince you to change to an expensive, electric thing that can't recharge in less than 30 min...
