I'm not sure Hazel is actually in the AOMCC......??
Rear drums do come up on ebay (although sometimes with a hub).

I've always set to 3/8" but I only use gentle pressure to find the 'extremities'.

There are quite a few people using them, there are several discussions in forum threads (forum search will find them).
I think Feked now sell one that you can link to the magneto cut-out as a fail-safe.
