Re: FH Rebuild Issues

Thanks Guys I have considered moving the footrests one spline forward but thought that would move them too close to the gear and brake pedals - will re-visit, (Steven are your footrests the two piece version?). Like the idea of a stud for the seat fixing - will investigate further. As far as I can t...

FH Rebuild Issues

Hi I wonder if I'm missing something or have just not done things in the correct order, but these are a few observations from my rebuild: Seat bolt above the oil tank, I guess the process is to insert bolt then fit the oil tank and struggle to fit the seat - or is there a better way? Magneto bottom ...

Re: Monobloc Float levels

Hi

The quick way to check the level is to put a length of clear tube onto the pilot jet after removing the jet cover and bend it up past the dot on the float chamber cover, turn on the fuel and the level is visible in the clear tube.

Re: Sq4 Timing sprockets

Hi Something is causing the chain tensioner to compress, (see the position in the second photo compared to the first), resulting in a slack chain which then tightens again when the tensioner springs back. Does the chain begin to ride up over one of the sprockets at some point? (worn chain). Does the...

FH Fuel Tank Chrome Strip?

Hi I have a Draganfly supplied chrome strip for my 58 FH which I am trying to install but I have encountered an anomaly and query which I wonder how others have resolved. Anomaly: The forward attachment hardware is listed as part number 053 which according to Draganfly is a 3/16" Whit mush head...

Re: Steel screws - materials

Hi

If you mean to make the studs I'd start with free cutting stainless steel, 303, 304 or 316, cut to length and thread. I'd avoid 'shed' studding like the plague, it's of very variable quality.
