Hi Guy the rods are fork type and the flywheels are correct ,like Leon said,very odd but hey these are ni on prehistoric,they had some wierd ideas in them days. If you need pics of any part or numbers let me know.good luck

Greetings all,here is a bit of info for Leon on AKD .I have an Ariel v twin it was found by a friend I new back in the late seventies, on its side in a field were it had been pushed to in the late forties and left,I finally got it in 1990 when he died,and left it to me,the engine no on it was A9886,...

Howdy to you,I have found pouring parrafin in the gearbox and letting it soak for a few days can work in softening old grease,sometimes the gears can go rusty inside,also with Burman boxes,if somebody has had the outer casing off for some reason in the past ,and just put it back on with out setting ...

The photos are fab,the dog looks like an early bulldog type,the bike looks like a veteran or early vintage Triumph,you have proof that the sidecar was made in 1922 but the bike looks earlier,maybe they had been making the sidecar for a few years before.Anyway what does it matter the bike and the cha...

Greetings,your piston is Ariel 34/40 249cc ohv red hunter, lg ,lh ,de luxe ,og ,oh. Standard c. r. is 6:1, it is a high comp 7:1 for all these models.I hope this is of help

Greetingto you,you will need a Lucas ksa 1 mag, the mag dyno you should have is a Lucas mdb type they were an integeral mag dyno,awfull things,but for some reason people today pay silly money for them,the mags are quite hard to find but they do turn up,you could try Mervs magnetos,he is a great guy,...

Fantastic bike,keep it as it is,I have a 1919 w&p belt driver in similar condition,it is a constant source of interest everywhere I go with it. The carb looks like a b&b two lever carb these you have to fiddle with to get right,one lever conrols fuel one air.On the other hand it could be bad...
