Re: Today's ride

hi all Its great to see so many older bikes out in the sunshine. On the last three or four Sundays we in the Solent section of the two stroke club (arrow, greeve, and barnets )have been out and on the A32 most of the bikes we see are modern crouch rockets. Am looking forward to club runs restarting ...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2020

hi Phil

Sorry Phil we are in Hampshire. Check out the british two stroke club as they may have a branch or sub branch near by. I get more local rides with them than with the Ariel club as we ride in the summer and winter. Good luck finding a group to ride with.

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2020

Hi Steve We in the two stroke also had a very good ride on Sunday and I am wondering if a small club ride could be sorted, With the two stroke boys we try and ride in sub groups of four or six and know where we are going so if we get split up we end up at the same spot with a flask .Just a though as...

Re: Down on power

Hi Johnny The bike looks as if it wants to go, I want it to go, so as usual I will have to hold off for a bit longer. A run up John Ellis's rally (300 mile round trip )would have been just the ticket hey ho,2020 makes life like that, I will just have to think about my leader project now instead of w...

Re: Down on power

Hi Johnny

No the bike is as standard to the best of my knowledge. It only has about 450 miles or so on it after a full rebuild so I may be hoping for to much, my other arrow will pull in top from about 45-50 so may be I need a bit more patience ,thanks for your reply.

Down on power

Hi one and all I took out the running arrow project out on Sunday with a couple of mates from The Two Club and the bike went well on the flat but up hill with a moderate head wind I was down into third unless we were doing at least fifty-fifty five. The bike starts well, loads of power in second and...

Re: New Patina

Hi all I have just started on a Leader project and I admit its not a bike of great value but would like to try to keep some age on it. The white work has already had some work done on it but the red dummy tank and seat and rear tail section is in a some what distressed state. Having seen in one of t...

Re: Odd spares

Hi John
Thanks for your reply I did wonder about Velo gears as where it all came from was home to a couple of beautiful restored models.

Odd spares

I have just got hold of four large boxes of Arrow and Leader stuff and in there I have found some oddities, see attached photos. 1. A heavy long front brake cable (52”) with a threaded end and a threaded nipple. 2. A set of heavyweight gears (compared with Arrow gears) on two shafts. I have seen som...
