Re: Identify a ariel

Let's have a few more pictures - LH around the seat lugs, RH end of gearbox, front brake plate - at first glance it looks like a civilianised W/NG. There's a field stand spring bracket and no speedo drive in the gearbox...

Fabric Cable Outer

Folks,

My W/NG has mostly old fabric covers on it's control cables, which are nicely frayed in keeping with the bike's patina.

Anyone know where you can buy fabric covered cable outers?

I've just changed another failed B6HS - this one had done about 8 miles from new.

I now have a W8AC - it feels more willing and the idle is improved.

Re: Front Forks

Good bit of info David, thanks. Have you fitted these dampers to nacelle-type top nuts?

Re: NGK, Carbon and my W/NG

During the first year or so after rebuilding my VH, I had several instances of non starts and breakdowns, including broken electrode and cracked insulators using NGK plugs. When I took dad’s recommendation of switching to Bosch, I haven’t had another problem since. I didn't dare search for the post...
