Ariel OG/OH Chain-cases and rear mudguard

Time for my regular appeal to anyone who may have a set of chain-cases or a rear mudguard for a 1939 Ariel OG/OH 250 they're willing to part with. I'm restoring a '39 OG and these parts are missing so I can't get replicas made. Unfortunately they're unique to this model. I have various Ariel LF, MF,...

Veteran Chain

Not exactly a post about Ariels but relevant to some of the older veteran machines: I'm restoring a 1910 Humber 200cc side valve lightweight. The bike has a pedal arrangement for pedaling and starting the engine. My problem is the chain is missing and it's a long obsolete type. According to RM Fowle...

Ariel MF 32 Restoration Project for Sale

I've reluctantly decided to sell my 1932 twin-port MF 32 restoration project due to the square four money pit and too many projects. I got this in a load of boxes along with a heap of LH 250 bits which had all been sitting around for over thirty years and I've loosely assembled it to see what is the...

Thanks Simes - I've just had a look at your blog and it all seems simple enough. For some reason I thought it would be much more difficult. I'll order up a Norton Commando kit. Very nice blog by the way! Cheers and thanks for your help...

Square Four Oil Filter Kit

Does anyone have an oil filter kit for a plunger Square Four for sale or swap? Draganfly are out of stock at the moment and it'll be easier to fit at this stage of the restoration than later.....

I recently managed to get most of a 1932 MF and 1929 LH in boxes. They'd been stripped since the early 1980s. I've put the MF together loosely as far as I can to see what's there and what's not and am starting to do the same with the LF. There appears to be quite a number of parts left over although...

1939 Square Four Rear Carrier

Does anyone have a rear carrier (part number 5630-39) for a 1939 Square Four for sale or swap? Alternatively does anyone have the dimensions so I can get one made? As always, any help gratefully received.....

Thanks everyone for all the help - I can feel the old back starting to twinge just reading about putting the bike on the centre stand! I do have an original side-stand on the bike as well but I've heard they can be pretty precarious as well. After over three years of effort and a restoration cost eq...

Pre War Square Four Rear Stand

Has anyone out there got a spare rear stand they'd like to sell for my 1939 Square Four 600 OHV, part number 5500 - 36? Alternatively I've got quite a lot of parts for a 1929 LF 250, some MF-31 spares and pre war square four bits if anyone would rather swap than sell.
