Re: 1939 4F 600 OHV Square Four Parts Needed

Dimensions will be very helpful thanks. Mine were bent on both sides so I'm not sure what the angle should be where the bars sweep back. I was thinking of going to the National Motorcycle Museum to measure their bike so any details and measurements will be very welcome!

Re: 1939 4F 600 OHV Square Four Parts Needed

Thanks for the good advice Nev, I'll definitely send some 1" tubing with the bars. The Czech firm makes quite a number of replica parts for a variety of bikes including Ariels so if these bars come out OK I'll see if they can make a few extra sets up.

Re: 1939 4F 600 OHV Square Four Parts Needed

Hi Don, I removed the paint from part of the tapered bars and it looks as if they've not been welded but instead the tubing reduces gradually from 1" to 7/8" quite close to the handlebar bend. I'm in touch with Vyroba Replk in the Czech Republic and they've offered to try and replicate the...

Re: 1939 4F 600 OHV Square Four Parts Needed

Hi Don, Thanks for the information. Strangely enough the bike it and also came with a set of 7/8" handlebars with two shims which fit over the centre to make 1" where they go through the rubber mountings.I thought these bars were the wrong ones for the bike as it was all in bits when I got...

I have a set of square four tapered bars which may be the same as the W/NG. Unfortunately they've been in an accident and are bent on one side. If anyone would like them as a pattern to reproduce some sets (with the correct bends!) I'm happy to lend them.

1938 Square Four SK 2374

Hi, I'm new to the forum so apologies if I've put this in the wrong place. I have two old B&W photo's of a Square Four registration number SK 2374. One shows it with the proud owner and the other with him and presumably his wife. This one shows the bike with a sidecar attached. I also have the o...
