I have run 4.00x19 tyres from both Mitas and Avon on my 35 VH 500 with original rims for many years now with no trouble apart from a couple of punctures.

MY 35 VH runs on 4.00x19 rear and 3.00x20 front and has done for many years now, unfortunately it doesn't seem to make any difference to running on the potholes, loose grit and speed bumps

Starting on full advance will be an interesting experience......I remember as a child I always started my Ariel with the pedal in the gap behind the toes,when it kicked back ,it didnt hurt so much......I wasnt allowed to wear my shoes riding motorbikes,they were for special occasions......Thats pro...

I have had a similar noise from the Engine shaft shock absorder on an NG, The central nut had loosened off and the cam was riding over the sprocket.

I found the same problem some time ago and stopped using it and switched to Jizer which I bought via eBay and it seems to work nearly as well.

I am one of those posting and am still trying to cure my problem . I have already replaced the gearchange sector/quadrant/ratchet assembly as the rivet was loose on mine as well, This is my latest replacement and it still jumps out of 3rd and towards 4th. I am going to strip it right down again over...
