Re: So it begins

The threaded hole should have a breather. If you search the forum you'll find suggestions for a larger breather than standard which may be beneficial.

Re: So it begins

I don't think we can see the timing mark on the crankshaft sprocket. I'm more familiar with the Mk11, but I think you'll find three keyways in that sprocket to give timing options.

Gui, having read and re-read, I think with sufficient care, your logic is not right. Shims should be placed between the face of the crank journal and the thrust washer, and must have a diameter smaller than the journal. You correctly state - as I see it - that you sandwiched the bush by having insuf...

Re: Non original side stand

There's no weld to the frame is there? - a cup round the offside tube and a clip to the nearside? Will need regular inspection for security and any sign of distortion I guess.

Re: Rocker Gear ID Please

The blocks will be right. I believe your engine would have had the rockers with adjusters over the push-rods. I can't see the shiny ones properly because of reflections. The chamfers visible just north of the centres on the two sitting top-edge to camera are to reduce the potential flow of oil along...
