Here is a photo of the pipe on my old 37 NH, not saying that it's original, it was born many decades before I was.

My old 37 NH had a metal braided hose with ferrules. The Red Hunters I seem to remember also had a simple tap without reserve.

So far as I know the model E was a twin port. It shows clearly in the sales brochure and here is a photo of one in the metal.

I seem to remember that Merv Kendall had overhauled a few G engines and said that he'd seen both types. Possibly they changed during the production year so keep an open mind about this.
