Green... no not a frog, I mean the export colour!

Allright, here we go: who knows which colour comes most close or near the export green The Works used for their export Ariels or even got a sample? Is there a RAL colour to match?

Re: The KH Project MK II

Lovely machines Paul, specialy the 1948!! The KH is a real mellow machine and lovely to ride. I did fit a K34 Heidenau 19 x 3.25 front- and 19 x 3.50 rear tyre. This is a German tyre manufacturer who makes good quality, and affordable tyres with classic looks. They have good roadholding in dry and w...

Re: The KH Project MK II

Made some small progress on the 1952 KH. I did Fit new tyres on the rims and choose to fit Heavy Duty inner tubes (moto cross) will see if it works! I like the Heidenau tyres with their classic profile. Before Cavalry will arive and starts nagging I want to point out the following: Yes the front whe...

Re: Brake and clutch levers on kh

Hello John, on the forum (Ariel Talk) there's some discussion about what one should use: a plain bronze bearing bush for the crankshaft, or a bearing with white metal surface (babbitt). Opinions are divided... I wonder what you did use?

Re: A matter of weight...

Perhaps the lighter flywheels are better for high revs racing but the heavier ones are better for low revs normal use.

Sounds good Paul, so this is benefit number one! better for low revs and normal use! (what I'am aiming for...) So The Works where right in this case...
Curious for te rest... :D

Re: Brake and clutch levers on kh

Also, a thought for the future, rebuilding my KH engine I found that the 2 small internal screws within the crankcase, they help hold the cases together, did not seem to have any positive locking feature, if they become loose they would cause some serioue damage. I therefore drilled and wire locked...
