Well take a look at this: a 1948 > 1951 KH crank and the later one, according to Ariel it was 20% heavier, ''for smoother riding, without affecting acceleration or pick-up''... Compare the size of sludge traps, the older one takes nearly twice the amount of sludge!

Lee, I do not see any asking price, maybe it comes cheap you might consider to buy this one or a comparable one. I'am not aware what parts you are missing, but if you are missing a serious amount, collecting parts and all what comes with it at the end can be more expensive then a more or less comple...

Back on the subject of bronze or white metal bushes, this is a genuine Ariel KH bush covered with a white metal layer. I have got a couple of KH crankcases which shows exactly the same pattern. But mileage unknown to be honest. Still I tend to what Paul suggested...
