No it should be streat, this is coused by sitting on it on stand talking to a nice lady :D , don't weld strips on.

You could get what ever you wanted but the factory records will thell what realy was on your Ariel.

The tungsten tip of one of the points had become detached and this was the cause of the problem. I had the same with the 1926 Ariel from Peter Kemp that's why it wasn't running good when i bought it. Nowdays platinum points cost hundreds of dollars. Ower local jewelry welded a new platinum point on...

When restoring a Velo or other (fast ) make they all opt for a high compression piston giving a little more speed but...
