Re: 32VH info

I can see why you like the Ariel, the downside is the 4 valve head, it is cracked or it soon will be on modern fuels.
Beside the long list of other faults there is no drive to the (wrong) speedo.
So better buy 2 valve 4 gears.

The prise discusion is ever lasting.

They will however function very well in a bronze valve guide.

I will give you a full breakfast when you are landing, and a guard of honor in the mainstreet with 40 Ariels.
A friend has done it in a open dinghy with 2 outboard engines (one spare) in 10 hours.

What ever the iron club guids and valves are made of they don't match.
There are here members who had to take theire 350 head of 3 times before they had thrown the exhaust valve away.

Re: Sticking exhaust valve?

I don't understand why everyone is silent about the wrong club valves, the materal dusn't match steel guids, ower club is rich so throw these valves away.

Re: Sticking exhaust valve?

The same as my valve, wrong material.
Put in the old factory valve and the problem is solved.

robert.clark wrote:3) Are you intending to bore taper pin flywheels to take a parallel pin big end?
Answer No fit the standard bearing with taper shafts.

I have never seen forced 500 flywheels with a tapered bigend, tapered is 350.
