Re: Rear Carrier

I am using 1956? cardboard travel cases from a carbootsale on my 1956 Ariel.

The carrier is bolted to the top spring bolts so the rearside can swing up or down depending how long the rear straps are, ( no welding needed).

The photo,s will take some days.

Re: Rear Carrier

Hi Andy,

I use a carrier from a 70's Honda four, it will fit right on, just needs 2 straps down from most rear mudguard bolts.
On the sides it takes 2 old travel cases, on top the tent.

Re: Harley in Croatia

Hi Aljosa,

I know how frustrating it must be that you'r not in a position to come to the rally in England but there are not many Ariel members with a Harley.

The best way to see the Ariel famely is organising an Ariel rally in Croatia short before or after the Ostrian rally.

Re: W/ NG models.

Hi Nev,
I dont know about England but there are about 20 in Holland, 50 in Belgium, 50 in Italy.
Lots of parts going round, about 20+ engines in Holland.

At least 50% are made in to Red Hunters.

In several books are the photo's of an Ariel frame and Ariel petrol tank with a Minerva engine, licence nr. LE8000.
Where is it now, I would like to know the frame nr.

Kind regards Adrie.

Exhaust valve stem wear

There is much wear to the club exhaust valve stems if placed in iron guids, they have strange lines and are battered after only 5000km even in a side valve. Who has the same experiëns? If an exhaust valve is placed in the inlet, the same wear is seen. As an experiment I have welded a new valve disc ...
