Re: ARIEL LEADER ENGINE PROBLEM

Now it's a bit late but there is an easy way to check your ignition; when at your not starting point, take the plugs out, pour in 1 ccm petrol in the holes, pluggs back in, then start full throttle, when starting your coils are oké.

Re: Starting when warm.

All motorcycles have difficulties between cold and 10km, it will thell you how worn your carburetor is.

Here a strange advice; make your carburetor oily on the outside, a 2 stroke will run much better specialy in the winter.

Re: FOR SALE : 1905 White & Poppe

The engine is 1904 but updated a few times, make and brake housing is wrong.
The frame is to heavy for 1904, handlebar much later, all updated several times.

The R/S engine on ebay is "Royal Sovereign" an old English make.

This crankpin is for the bin, even regrinding and larger rollers won't bring you far.

Re: Wash Carefully

If you have a water problem with your Ariel, there is an easy selution; thake the HT lead off, put some grease on the plug ceramic and on the magneto connection, lead back on, now you can ride trough heavy showers.
