Re: Arrow Torque Setting

Hello, For the heads the people who rebuild engines work to 18 ft lbs, initially working to just under the 18 ft lbs figure and then after running the engine torque to the 18 figure. Re the heads . I've only heard of the racing people using them, some riders say they narrow the power band , others f...

Re: Two Stroke Oils.

Evening Pete, Opinions vary a bit on this subject but I used semi synthetic oil for a long time on my Leader at 32 to 1. Recently it was said that something in the current petrol washed off some of the lubricant used in the semi oil, so I went back to mineral oil of a good quality ( there is a quali...

Evening Pete,

The contact section on the web-site links to my personal e-address. Payment is usually by cheque but I do also have a paypal account linked to my personal e-mail. I will send my postal address off site or by a private message when the tap is ready.

Re: Ariel leader petrol tap.

Pete,

I run the site as a hobby, I make the spares on two days per week, which is why I run out when there is a heavy demand. I will be at the Ariel AGM in April with a display of items + some not on the site.

Re: Arrow project

Evening Mark, Re the castings - Ron Philips of Fahron Eng. has castings made at a place in Ilkeston Derbushire. Manor Foundry is the name, they give the best price I have been able to find in the area. He is the person to contact re getting the castings made but you may have to wait until someone is...

Re: Arrow project

Hi Mark,

Ron did the machining of the bore and made the liner because they are too big for my lathe. I supplied the alloy castings and machined the thread. Ron also has patterns to make his own castings.
