Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Hope you had a good ride today Mike and cheers Vincent. Yes, fantastic heritage, I should try and work out how many people were brought up in that house. All my great grandads children emigrated to Boston Massachusetts from that house. A few of the brothers that settled there ran a bar. Probably som...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Yep, from this. 2012-03-24 09.03.21.jpg When I visited as a kid upstairs never had any lights. As I'd just learnt some basic electrical stuff with batteries and bulbs I thought I would have go at wiring an upstairs light. I bought some wire, bulb holder, switch and a round pin plug. I fed the wire u...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Turned out fairly easy to park the Honda at Dublin airport, managed to find a spot where I could lock it to a post. The builders have been going great guns and will nearly be finished. We are very lucky on Bere Island as one of our locals is a civil engineer with all the gear. He cuts through rock l...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Yep, I'm still around. I've been a slave to my sewing machine rather then riding.
Anyway I'm back on sunny Bere Island, I've taken the Honda as I'll be leaving it at Dublin airport for a couple of weeks or so.

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

I've had a decent ride today, first time since Holland. My first job was in Coventry at the Land Rover Jaguar engineering factory. Some fancy piece of equipment that measures emissions. 2019-06-19 08.52.02.jpg Then off to Leominster to see a firm that supplies off grid solar kits. I'm thinking of us...

Re: Man and sloper come a cropper.

Thanks for letting us know your on the mend Chris. I've seen a few really big pot holes recently, they have suddenly become even more frightening after reading your experience.

Re: Thorspark Electronic Ignition on a VH

In an attempt not to annoy my neighbours I bought this off ebay, it didn't fit because I bought the wrong diameter but the correct one in my Huntmaster certainly calmed things down.
