I have a pair of 6volt sealed batteries in there at the moment John which would last a long time if the charging stopped but its nice to know I have a back up, the AA's would probably do around 150 miles as our ride round the Yorkshire dales was 112 miles and was still going. I didn't fancy flatting...

me ever ready. I don't think so :D. Should get a laugh when I ask for some AA batteries to get my bike going!

I have Thorspark electronic ignition fitted to my Huntmaster, but it has always worried me what would happen if my dynamo died. So with a little help from Chris Brindle at the LDR this weekend we cobbled together 8 AA batteries to give us 12 volts and connected it to just the ignition, the bike fire...

Just back from the LDR and had a great time, many thanks to Andrew and all who helped organise it, even the weather held out, well until Newbury anyway but I was nearly home.

Can I hear piston slap a bit? My wng seems a little noisy like your bike but seems to go alright but both my VH's sound as sweet as a nut.

Bike back in shed, after running a few errands, nice ride was had. The full length of the forks right up to the top spindle that takes the two small springs is 27" I haven't cleaned my gg since I bought it around 2 months and 1000 miles ago, and it looks cleaner!!! all bikes should be drab gree...

just about to go on a ride on my WNG but first the tape measure. Its 18'' from the centre of the wheel axle to the centre of the damper spindle. I believe that the civilian forks are 16.5''

My solution to the glasses problem. Laser eye surgery! expensive but very worthwhile. I had an accident last year which was partley caused by my dirty glasses. My fault I know but it is just so differcult to keep them clean When I did have glasses I had no problem taking my Schubert flip front helme...
