Re: Torque

If you ensure the spanner start position is at 90 degrees to the torque wrench it doesn’t affect the torque applied.

Re: NGK, Carbon and my W/NG

During the first year or so after rebuilding my VH, I had several instances of non starts and breakdowns, including broken electrode and cracked insulators using NGK plugs.

When I took dad’s recommendation of switching to Bosch, I haven’t had another problem since.

Re: Front Forks

Hi Jim,

I have indeed done the upgrade, but I purchased the kit from Paul Goff not from SRM. David Anderson in Australia helped out with some good advice.

I’ve been running them for two years so far and no problems whatsoever.

Feel free to give me a shout if you want any advice.

Re: Use the AOMCClub guys!

I think it should be noted that the AOMCC spares organisers are all volunteers, and most hold a full time job or are retired and do the job to help the membership. The AOMCC doesn’t look to gain profit on supplying parts, but the aim is to keep bikes on the road, and to remanufacture and supply part...

Re: '58 Huntmaster for sale. Again.

Have you seen Dave Owen’s post?

I think if I was in the market for a nice huntmaster I would be looking at the one with club history at a reasonable £4200. I think it is worth the extra money.

Re: '58 Huntmaster for sale. Again.

The front mudguard isn’t right and in my opinion looks awful! Air cleaner is there, the basis of a nice bike appears to be there, but there looks like a nasty dent on the oil tank and the bike is by no means pristine. Could be worth a punt if you are in to that sort of thing but there are nicer ones...

Re: New Patina

Why repair it? Just rust remedy the rusty bits and Matt lacquer over it with an airbrush.

Re: KG KH engine spares wanted

Are you a member of the AOMCC Jeremy?

I would be hopeful that our twin spares will be able to help with most of that list.
