It’s very easy if you have the correct tool, which I do. This was inherited from the late great Ralph Hawkins.

I had to cut about 3 inches off the ends of the KH pipes from armours. As far as I’m aware, the bits I cut off are in exactly the same place in dad’s workshop!

Aside from that the fit was excellent

Generational differences! These days the skirts are so short you almost never see a split in the skirt.

Not to mention the low friction coatings.

Are we still talking about Pistons?

Why would you mark ‘front’ when it will read upside down when fitted?

I know you can buy ring attachments for torque wrenches, and you could use a crows foot, but I don’t know the access issues, so I’m unsure if that helps or not...
