A bolster chisel worked for me (when re-fitting forks to my BMW R100GS).

Just enough spread to get them to slide and no more ;) .

I have requested the two-part V55/5 as I'll have to recover the original number for my 1930 Panther M50.

I won't need the forms for a while as the bike has to be in one piece - not the five crates of 'bits' I've got at the moment :lol: .
