Re: Motorcycle Magazines - What to do with them ??

Hello Bob,
Why don't you ask friends who drop by if they want them? I have several buddies with whom I exchange bike magazines. Anybody can stuff a few copies under a motorcycle jacket.

Is there something fundamentally different in the oiling system between a Mk1 and a Mk2?

Re: Sq4 MkI timing case breather pipe

The Morgo pump for the Sq4 MK2 has internal pressure relief valve set at 55 psi. The Morgo for the MK1 (and earlier 4G) does not have the internal relief valve.

Re: For sale: WM3 - 18 Rim

Hi Frank,

Sounds good to me - I'll let you know the cost of the shipping when I get the rim boxed up.

Damn! My neighbours just got back from a trip to B.C. and they could have delivered the rim.

Out of curiosity, how do you plan to overcome the spoke holes problem?

Re: Special alloy rings for riviting to primary chain wheel to stop oil leaking

Hello David, Thank you for posting. It seems like I might have to try to fit those discs again next time I have the primary apart on my NG. With a bit of digging I found the drawing supplied by Henrik Schackinger Larsen, a friend of the originator of the mod Niels Probst, and with it some notes as t...

Re: Big end clearance

Hi Kevin,
I think you should join the AOMCC and then you would have access to a lot of helpful information. The following was published in the November, 2010 Cheval de Fer (the club magazine).

For sale: WM3 - 18 Rim

This rim was on my Sq4 when I bought it. I had it chromed way back when but then decided to go with a 19" rim so this one has been sitting on the shelf for decades. I don't know what happened to two of the spoke holes - perhaps a problem with the polishing mop? As you can see in the second phot...

Re: Special alloy rings for riviting to primary chain wheel to stop oil leaking

Hi Bob, What bike are you talking about? Like I said I can't remember the details but I do remember grinding off some of the lip of one of the two discs thinking that I could get them to fit my NG but after several attempts I came to the conclusion that I would have to grind the lip totally off to g...

Re: Special alloy rings for riviting to primary chain wheel to stop oil leaking

Hello Ralph,
I've installed these discs on my Sq4 without any problems but my attempt to do the same on my NG met with failure. It has been a few years so I can't remember the details but I found that there wasn't enough room for the disks to do their job.

I'm quite sure the panel tank on my 1950 NG is original.
