Re: Special alloy rings for riviting to primary chain wheel to stop oil leaking

Hi Bob, What bike are you talking about? Like I said I can't remember the details but I do remember grinding off some of the lip of one of the two discs thinking that I could get them to fit my NG but after several attempts I came to the conclusion that I would have to grind the lip totally off to g...

Re: Special alloy rings for riviting to primary chain wheel to stop oil leaking

Hello Ralph,
I've installed these discs on my Sq4 without any problems but my attempt to do the same on my NG met with failure. It has been a few years so I can't remember the details but I found that there wasn't enough room for the disks to do their job.

I think the Lucas number for the gear is 464269 which is shown to have 40 teeth on this link:

Re: Connecting rod specs

Hello Gary,
I asked Draganfly about this back in 2005 and Roger replied: 1.5002"/1.5007". Nicholson says: 1.5005".

Re: Handlebar furniture and riding style

I note from Chris's picture there is one more item I have to consider, rear view mirror! I'm sure there are some purists out there who consider a rear view mirror some kind of sacrilege but I'm not one of them. I like to know what's coming up from behind me. Which reminds me of an incident when I w...

Re: Handlebar furniture and riding style

The ignition on my 500s - but not the one in the previous picture - is set to 5/8" BTDC. What setting do you use? I follow Nicholson's recommendations : 1/2" For my NG and in the range of 1/2" - 5/8" for the VH. I tend to agree with the thoughts of Brian Cross, about his VH, whi...
