Re: My 4G Restoration Blog

Hello Paul, I like your idea of a line reamer tool. What clearance do you intend to use between your timing side bushes of leaded bronze and the crankshafts' journals? And how would you measure it? Re: December's Cheval

I hope these are the last, but if not it is a lot easier if you email me direct. Hi John, Thank you for all of the work you are doing for the club. It is very much appreciated. Hi Ian,
Do you find the 3.00x20 too small? That is what I have been using on the front of my VH all these years and it seems to go well.

Re: 20" Front Tyres

Is the Avon Speedmaster the only option out there these days? Hi Tony, It seems like you may have other options at Coker Tire: https://www.cokertire.com/tires/styles/motorcycle-bike.html#tire_rim_diameter=120 https://www.cokertire.com/tires/styles/motorcycle-bike/300-20-coker-classic-front.html Reg...

Re: Seeking David Jones and Solex gaskets

Hello Paul,
That set-up looks good but wouldn't an acorn nut be better on the end of that stud?

I think the best manual for Ariels and many other makes is: Nicholson's Modern Motorcycle Mechanics.

Re: Colonial handlebar

The upper photo on Page 88 of Bacon's book shows a regular handlebar while the bottom photo of a Californian dealer's showroom seems to show higher bars.
