In short : comes from a shed in Paris after 40/50 years of standing.
Engine turns over.

RBH engine comes from a RAF one.
So even 50 odd years ago they still did not put the top links back the right way
Missing dynamo, Altette, floatchamber sits on the other side, headlamp model Parisienne, but in all nice and sort of complete.

The bike in Holland is a nice example of a WNG just ready for restoring.

Re the top links: I think we have been here before :D , a number of times, regarding the correct orientation. The chamfer should go on the inside at the bottom so yours being outside top are wrong :(

See this post from paul Jameson: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7244&hilit=top+links#p48867 where he says

The chamfers on the top links go inside but on the bottom. Their function is to give enough clearance when the forks are at the top to avoid causing a nick in the top casting of the main fork girder. If you have the two nicks in that top casting, someone has wrongly assembled the forks at some time in the past.

There are a few other posts regarding them if you do a search on 'top links'.

Even though I know all this I still managed to get the left side one wrong on my WNG :o , only noticed it last Friday and have had to pull the top spindles out and swap it round. If it is just the right side that is wrong that can be swapped over without pulling the spindles out.

Another observation is that there should be a washer on each side of the front link spindle, it is located on the inside of the top auxiliary spring mounts. It stops the spring mounting damaging the threads on the spindle. Peter at single spares has them 4662-39 and 4661-39. See arrow for where they go:

Thanks for the info! I will get the washers, I planned to get a couple made at my job. Different thickness left and right side, new spindles from ACME Stainless maybe not 100% accurate on lengths?
