1937 Red Hunter

Postby Vincent.vanGinneke » Sun Aug 04, 2019 5:25 pm

Ah! It's Sunday afternoon and time for some obnoxious moaning ...hmmmmmyummie.

One Pound change from your 17.000,- GBP. ( that is 20.740 Euro )
It looks nice and is a credit to whoever build this, but it is a lot of money...…... for a bitsa .

Headlamp looks 7" and with the switch on the back is older or a replica, brackets way to long.
Front hub , looks like a W/NG item as I can see the strengthening plate on the outside, forked brake lever ?
Postwar type steering damper knob.
Should the kickstarter have a peg instead of a bolt ?, this one looks like a Triumph item.
Armoured oil lines, should be pipe.
Exhaust cooling rings ,..yuk! , wrong type
Postwar carb.
What did he cobble up for a horn bracket?
Frame lug behind right hand side exh.pipe looks to be broken/torn off ?
Interesting bit of engineering on lower part of pushrod tubes.
Dont know if that type of dipswitch/horn button belongs on a '37 model, but the builder got fed up with the finishing touches and covered the wiring with DIY plastic tape.
Cant find any proper pics from the drive side, more fun there ?

Still a lot of money.....

In the youtube film you can see that it's 1934-35.

Adrie is right, it is a 34/35 model.
That makes the oil tank, toolbox and timing cover correct for those years.
Dave, yes I have seen those other pictures but I cant enlarge them to take a good look.

I have amended my previous post !
