Trying to find a reason to not add this to my garage, other than not really having the room or money

Engine and frame are both 52 also, maybe it competed for a few years first ? Log book says it had a sidecar originally. Love those mudguards and their brackets, I’m presuming they are genuine ?

According to most lists of engine /frames there's no 54 or 55 VCH's. Does anyone have other information? That is definitely a VCH frame. They are the only ones shortened at the rear and with the muffler attach lug on the top rear frame.. The later square based engines only had the standard VHA cast iron flywheels. Nev

Date of registration just means date first made road legal anyway, so could differ from manufacture date if bike lay unsold in a dealers

If used for competition may not have been registered initially at all. I had to put lights on mine to fully register it in the 70's. It's a mid 50 despatched bike. No previous road use. nev

Exactly. I just hadn’t seen those mudguards and brackets before, they put repro stuff to shame
