I have a Czech MT110 on my 1936 4G, with single filament bulb. I use a diode and resistor mounted in the wiring loom behind the rear mudguard stay so that I can use the bulb both as a stop lamp (direct wiring) and a tail lamp (via the resistor). You need the diode to prevent the side light coming on when you operate the stop light switch. It is a pain to do but it works reliably (the same set up has been on my RH500 (with an original MT110) for over 25 years) and the benefit - a single wire to the back of the MT110, as per original.
Many have doubted my sanity...............
