Red spot ammeter

I have a Lucas red spot ammeter and was wondering what it is worth

Good one Vince. lol . Truth be known, I really don't know as this is a rare item. All I have is a bulb holder and bulb zip tied to the handlebar.(it works) Probably the only thing not original as the ammeter is black.

Fred,

I think you will find that your bike has an alternator fitted in place of the dynamo which has a smart aluminium cover over it made from a saucepan! The light on the handlebars is indeed a charge indicator from Alan Osbourne (www.aoservices.co.uk) .

Paul, you are correct! That aluminum sauce pan even has an Ariel logo on it. Looks factory to me. Thank you for the link.
