Last year i got a VH500. Along with it came some spares which don't fit to this bike.
Obviously it is a side valve's head and barrel, and a more or less empty crank case.
Could realize two major scratches inside the barrel, exhaust pipe is broken.
If anybody is interested feel free to contact me to get further pictures.

Is it just my eyes or are there ghost images of fins on the crankcase in the second picture?

And second question - can the gouges in the bore be fixed? Or are we talking resleeve?

The case has the extended housing for 2 bearings that didn't come in till later. 33? Some cylinders don't have enough metal to bore to sleeve size safely. You could use a special thin sleeve or come back a little under standard size in the finished bore. The tramlines are from the gudgeon pin and only go to where it went. The area of ring travel is what matters. Silver solder is still dull red heat and there is a risk of cracking the casting. If you did it in a furnace where you cool it slowly this would work OK. Nev
