DKX4A SHAFT

Postby StewartPorter » Thu Mar 28, 2019 5:01 pm

Got a DKX1A dizzy but need a DKX4A shaft to alter it for a Sq4. Cam doesnt come off DKX1A, according to guys on C11 forum so will have to change the whole shaft. Might anyone have a spare in an old bucket? As long as irs serviceable.
Cheers

Hi Jorgen The number of the distributor shaft is 420691. Ive got the rest of the distributor parts now, thanks.
However I am looking for rocker blocks and spindles for a '59 Mk2 if you happen to have any?
Could you let me know costs and despatch please?
All the best

So.........
Didnt find any dizzy stuff at the AGM autojumble yesterday, but.....
On the way home I was collecting a bantam - just what i need ANOTHER bike!! (Does " too good a bargain to pass up" sound familiar, anyone?)
The guy i bought it from had a lovely big workshop crammed with old Velos and Sunbeams and a mountain of BSA stuff as well as loads of other odds and sods. When Ispy a C15, I mention my search for the DKX4A and Tony opens a drawer to reveal a host of old dizzys. But no DKX4A, I did get a nice dkx1a WITH removable cam! :)
By chance, I open another random drawer and sitting there all alone is this little baby.....
Issue resolved!
Thanks for all your help as usual on this guys
Now.... where did I put the fork and spoon for dismantling this Bantam.........
Cheers
Stewart
