Ariel arrow ss needle

Postby jmcgreevy » Sun Feb 04, 2018 10:24 pm

Should the needle in an amal 376 carb fitted to a ariel arrow ss be a B or a C needle?

Thanks

I think it should br a C needle, the B is the designation for a needle fitted to 375 Monoblocks.
There is a variant of the C needle that was fitted to BSAs to improve fuel consumption, if buying at an autojumble make sure you get the right one for your bike!
I believe the BSA needle was stamped C1.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered new Amal parts for the carb and a C came with it. Originally it had a B which had been giving me trouble. Didn’t know if the previous owner had put the standard Leader needle in carb by mistake.

Cheers
