Does the horn button earth to the handlebars or does it switch the live side?

It doesn't earth to the handlebars Ian The two green wires connect when the button pushed. I've taken one green wire to earth and the other one straight to the horn.
Still couldn't get my horn to work, turned out the horn had stopped working so I've swapped it with another spare that did work, but whilst I was at it my brake light decided to stop working.
A small job turned into something a bit bigger :D

Strewth, I've had a day today. Just a local job down in Southampton Docks only 6miles or so from home but it took 4 bikes
First my Huntmaster gave up charging, I made it to the boat ok but foolishly I'd forgotten a bag of my mats so had to go back to the workshop but it gave up halfway home so with my emergency 12 volts plugged in I got back.
So I got my always reliable WNG out of the shed and rode to the workshop, strapped the bag of mats on the back, started her up and turned on the lights and she died! I haven't time to work out what wrong.
Luckily I've my 350 NH at the workshop so pulled that out and strapped the mats down again but now she's not returning oil back to the tank. Oil everywhere.
So I just rode her home and got the Cyclone out. Ran like a dream.

Steve,
Just wasn't your 'Ariel' day, was it? What did you say or do to upset them?

I didn't say anything Keith, but they saw me drive off in the Van yesterday morning, maybe they got jealous
I'll try that one Adrie, not sure it'll work!
You certaily are in trouble Paul, don't ride down to Southampton Docks, you'll never make it :D

Before I left for work this morning I got at the Huntmaster and found this. Could be the reason for no Volts.
The small pulley wheel on the Alternator had fallen off. The center screw had wound itself out. Luckily no damage.
I'm getting a bit fed up with my belt drives so I'm going to try something new. A chain

So I was back on the Cyclone to a job down near Hythe.

Hate to say this. I have three Ariels on the garage but only the Bantam is working.

What should I learn? Is it time to buy a Leader?
cheers
