Don't laugh there was a logical reason for this, I'd bought the engine years ago from a guy in York. Didnt fancy leaving the engine strapped to my bike overnight in the hotel car park so i brought it into my room. I hurt my back in all my efforts so left it on the bed. It was easier to pick it up. :D

Thats quite reasonable thing to do, the last thing you want is some half wit taking the engine to weigh in for scrap. I bet you got some looks in the morning Steve, the hotel staff whisper between themselves things like.... Most people take Prostitutes to there rooms.

I just threatened the receptionist at a hotel in York with putting my bike in the twin bed, it is the folding type. Little did I know!!
