I went and picked up the Ariel today and within a mile of the shop I had a real disaster! Round a tight corner very slowly the entire trailer took it into its head to fall over bike and all! The bike came off the centre strip and got itself all tangled up. I enlisted the help of a passing chap who was on his way to a gym and between us we managed to get things as they should be. Good job I had some ropes in the car cos the new straps I was using got so badly tightened up where I had secured the excess I couldn`t do a darn thing with them. The whole shebang is in sitting the rain outside home now and can stay there til the weather perks up. Nothing is EVER simple for me.

Oooo nasty! Its something I always worry about when towing.

It sounds as though your trailer has a narrow track - is it one of those folding jobs ?? Some details - with a picture or two - would be interesting.

I bought a two-bike trailer, where a single bike uses a central channel. It has a decent, wide track - but it has to be towed everywhere (where its invisible to the driver when empty  ).

I hope the 'Bobber' is OK.

Bob.

It is a single trailer and the track is quite narrow. When empty I can only see it when turning sharply. Fortunate the bike survived though I would never have recovered it without the chap who assisted me. Might think of a different trailer later, lesson learnt.

I see you have the Ariel on eBay, and a James trials too?
