Yes, lathes are a great addition to the workshop.

A few years ago I bought an old 1950s Denford Viceroy (a 'Boxford-type' lathe) from a local Engineering Works who had gone over to CNC.

I have spent a lot of money bringing it back to life and it is rather worn but I use it all the time - great machines.

But, of course, no matter what you buy it will never be big enough .

I don't have a three-phase supply in my workshop which limits my e-bay searches, but I would certainly like to add a Milling Machine.
