Sorry I haven't been on here much lately but finally got back from Hamburg and back on my bike again after what seems like an age.

I wanted today to get to Sammy Millers in New Milton to see the Norton Electra they have on display. I'm putting one back together and I've forgotten where some of the bits go :D

I set off for Sammys this morning but didn't get far! I ran out of petrol. My internal fuel gauge doesn't work when I haven't ridden for a while. Alan's search through the grass verge soon found us an empty bottle of Stella Artois :D

Have to say they were all very friendly and helpfull letting me take as many pictures as I wanted and printed out some usefull reference material for me. Even had a short chat with the guy himself.

Here's just a couple of bikes that caught my eye.

Hi Steve,

I see that the Ariel 'Cammy' at the Sammy Museum still has it's oil filter on the wrong way round. I told them about that a few years ago but obviously either forgotten or ignored. Having it on that way round collapses the internal filter element, assuming it still has one!

Roland.

Is it correct for a cammy to have such a short (350cc) tank ?

Does look a little small Vincent.
just a local job yesterday in Twyford. Just a few miles from home. I sometimes forget how lovely it is around my own neck of the woods.

I've two jobs today in Reading , but I'm not feeling my best so I'm taking the Van. Usually its ice that will get me in the Van but I ought to be wise today and take the easier option. What's the betting I'll get stuck in traffic :D

Once a year some of the births have to be dug out to allow bigger boats in. All clever stuff

I've often had a coffee stop at Fort Nelson the artillery muesum but this time Andy and myself thought we'd give it a good look around.
It's difficult in a picture to convey how enormous this thing is.

Hope you all had a great Christmas.
The weather this morning was perfect for a short ride to Wickham Square for an informal classic car and bike meet.

My mates new granddaughter, Agnes was due so I just had to bring her namesake :D

Lovely HRD with the early type RFM and larger Spares Co. front brakes in alloy rims.
Series 'D' centre stand and sensible -I think AUS made- jiffy.
Good to see he uses the original set of Amals.
Thanks for the pictures Steve !

Wow, nearly the end of another year. Here's some Wherwell pictures from a trip out to see our John Hulme a couple of days ago.
