Alloy brake plate for type 3 telescopic forks 46-55

Postby robert.clark » Mon Dec 31, 2018 9:11 am

For the start of the New Year I'm sharing my progress on my latest 500 cc single special which may be of interest. The photos show the alloy brake plate I've made to substitute for the standard pressed steel version.
I'm not sure if this has been attempted before but this is my version.
The material is shaped and formed from a Rolls Royce 20 / 25 alloy bulkhead firewall.
There is obviously no dust cover protection with this version. It's also fitted to the standard back plate.
