Johnny, When you put the screw through the hole in the outer case there should be about 1/4" to 5/16" protruding, this is the length of thread that screws into the inner case / crankcase etc. Once you have the screws it is pretty easy to tell which ones goes where.

Cheers

I seem to remember posting this in reply to an earlier similar query but here goes once more:

The 3 longest screws go furthest to the front, into the engine through the inner case (at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock).
The 3 shortest screws go in 3 of the 4 holes round the clutch dome - the 4th hole not being threaded in the outer case. The 1 screw second longest goes in this 4th clutch dome hole.
The 1 screw which is second shortest goes from the inner case into the engine (at 3 o'clock).
The screw with cycle thread on the end holds the lower rear chainguard on.
All the rest should be the same length and so fit the remaining holes.

E.&O.E. - I have written this from memory and without consulting the parts book.
