I've made some progress. I moved the carb forward but had to use 5/16 bolts as the studs would not allow the carb with the flame trap on to be installed.
There is little room left between the flame trap and oil tank maybe 3/16 .
The float bowl from a Lister motor works perfect as this allows the bowl to be positioned away from the flame trap and still clears the Generator.
Should be good for this year.
