SQ4 Mk1 Otto gasket instructions

Hello everyone,

The gasket set I got from Dragan is missing the torque instructions page. I can't find it in the club ressources and the one available in this forum is corrupted. Could someone share it with me, please ? The road to a running SQ4 is not an easy one...

I can't believe how low those torque figures are ! I am looking forward to seeing how the seals hold with engine running.

Those figures are correct, as my Mk1 is running all right with them. A few weeks ago I did the third and final torque down. I’ve also done compression tests on the cylinders in both hot and cold states, which came out all right.

when you do the torque down, do you torque again to the same value given by the instructions, or to a lower value?

Yes, I use the figures in the table at every torque down. Note that when torquing down, I first slacken the nut by a quarter turn to release any ‘tension’ then tighten it to the torque value.
For what it is worth, all my head studs and nuts are 303 stainless, with the higher torque figures.
