Square four HT leads

Postby Thoward » Thu Dec 31, 2020 1:42 pm

Hi, first buy new ones, (HT leads) they are not expensive. Second I have seen reports of HT leads melting and shorting. Buy a meter of silicone tube, 7mm internal diameter, cut a short length to cover the HT lead where in contact with the engine/head, slice it longways, wrap around the HT lead, hay presto no more melting or shorting. See photo.
Cheers

I tend to run the front leads through the holes in the tank mount.

Hi Peoples - Roger; - "through the tank mount holes?"... sure, each to their own... I run my clutch & throttle cables through these!
Happy New Year to all - let's hope it's an improvement on 2020...
Cheers, John
