Hi

It took me around a week, (half an hour or so a day), to get mine apart. Using the thread to extract it negates the bushes flexing and absorbing the force as they do when trying to drift it out. There is a spacer between the bushes which may also have corroded onto the shaft - once it moves a little start swapping sides and applying more penetrant.

As my bushes were in an OK condition I left them in situ when I had the PRF powder coated, (just blanked them off with wooden discs and studding), they seem to have survived the process with no issue :)

Regards Mick

"Saw thro' the spindle on both sides" and "burn out the rubber" was what I was driven to, too. May I suggest that the replacement parts be stainless steel as offered here https://acmestainless.co.uk/product-cat ... cba1185463 to reduce future difficulties?
