It took me around a week, (half an hour or so a day), to get mine apart. Using the thread to extract it negates the bushes flexing and absorbing the force as they do when trying to drift it out. There is a spacer between the bushes which may also have corroded onto the shaft - once it moves a little start swapping sides and applying more penetrant.
As my bushes were in an OK condition I left them in situ when I had the PRF powder coated, (just blanked them off with wooden discs and studding), they seem to have survived the process with no issue
