Sorry! I'll try putting the question in the correct place this time

Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody had details for a modern or alternative carb for the 500 twin?
My old remote float 276 is getting tired, dribbling and vibrating bits loose in general. Looking for an easy fix?
Many thanks in advance

Shaun

Amal will sell you a new carb off the shelf jetted to suit.

Not the cheapest way but probably the easiest and best

Go to their home page and there is a vehicle search section on there that will tell you the carb and float chamber numbers for the year. www.amalcarb.co.uk

It won't cost a lot more than doing a rebuild the hard way. I've rebuilt mine (52 model). I don't think you can get the jet blocks separate now. The original type of carburettor is as good as anything else made since. Nev
