need air cleaner rubber hose for Solex

Is there any source for the original air cleaner-to-solex carb rubber hose (1953 MK II Sq 4.. possibly others). Mine is surely original and barely hanging together. I don't see it listed on Dragan.

You are looking for a somewhat rare item here Phil and I do not know of a source for them. I sold the one I had (complete with the air filter) to someone in the States a couple of years ago but I am pretty sure I took dimensions and photos of it before sending. If you need these, PM me and I will look them out for you.

Here's a picture of mine. It is 'serviceable' but just hoped to find a new or new-ish one to go along with the other spruce-up I am doing on the old gal. Of course, it is hardly visible from outside anyway?

One solution is to find a car radiator hose of the right bore size with two right angle bends, cut the middle section short to suit and join with a small length of steel pipe and two jubilee clips. As you say, the thing is almost invisible.

For the record, I think I found out the air cleaner was an option from 1952 but none too common with the introduction of the SU carb making it redundant in 1954.
