1931 Sloper driver seat elastics

After having successfully participated at the italian Sloper rally plus the italian rally near lake Como, I felt that the elastics of my SF's driver saddle are missing something of its original strength. My saddle does not have metal springs but rubber elastics.

What is your experience how to replace the rubbers? Which material can be used and where can I get it? As an example I enclose a photo of a similar saddle with replacement rubbers, but there is no trace to find the right material so far.
Thanks
Klaus

These elastics are used on/in truck covers.

You can buy similar rubber from most yatch chandlers and re-use the clips.
I remade mine many years ago and had no problems
